About Us

Welcome to the Town Council

Weston-super-Mare Town Council was established in 2000 and is the ‘parish’ council for the town. We were made up of 31 elected town councillors and are the only democratically elected body that exclusively represents the people of the town. We are the second largest civil parish council in England and Wales (by population).

We provide a variety of services to the residents of Weston-super-Mare, including parks, play areas and green spaces, allotments and public amenities. Visit our services page for a full overview of what we do, how we work alongside North Somerset Council - who manage district wide services over a larger area such as roads, planning, waste collection and social services - and how you can contact us.

We are committed to openness and transparency, so we publish details of our spending over £500 and you can download our Freedom of Information policy here. You can also attend council meetings and read more about our council policies. We also provide a full list of our committees, and access to all of the agendas and minutes for committee meetings.

If you would like to become more involved with us, find out how you can volunteer or check out our current vacancies.
