Benefits of Growing Your Own Food

  • Improve your family’s dietary health
  • Show your children how food is grown
  • Save money on food shopping
  • Outdoor exercise
  • Reduce food waste
  • Reduce environmental impact

Vegetables that ripen in the garden have more nutrients than some super-market bought vegetables that must be picked early. You can reduce the amount of harmful chemical’s often used in mass farming by going chemical free on your plot.

You also do your bit to reduce plastic and carbon footprint by growing your own. You can also share your excess produce with your friends and neighbours.
