Weston-super-Mare Town Council budget agreed

At the Town Council meeting on Monday 23rd January, Weston-super-Mare Town Council agreed its budget for 2017/18 and to hold the precept at the current level – meaning the amount each household pays to the Town Council will remain the same.
The Town Council has lots planned for the coming year, with the opening of Weston Museum, improvements to the Blakehay Theatre, the redevelopment of Hutton Moor Skate Park, the Visitor Information Centre reopening, and events for the Town including a Literary Festival and a Halloween event in Grove Park
Town Clerk, Malcolm Nicholson  commented “Weston Town Council is the only democratically elected body which exclusively represents our  town and provides facilities and services that the people of our town want. Costing only just over £1 per week for the average 2 person household it offers fantastic value for money.”
