DESCRIPTION:Christmas Lights Switch-On Update: The Lights Must Go On!\n\n\nDespite the weather forecast looking less than festive\, Weston-super-Mare’s Christmas Lights Switch-On and eat Festivals: Weston Christmas Edition are still happening this Saturday\, 23rd November 2024! We’ve made some adjustments to ensure everyone can stay warm\, dry\, and enjoy the day:\n\n\n\nRevised Event Plan:\nChristmas Lights Ceremony: The lights will still be switched from 5:00 pm\, but the ceremony will now be held inside the Winter Gardens and live-streamed to a screen in the venue.\n\n\n\neat Festivals: Many of the fantastic food and drink producers will now be inside the Winter Gardens (access via the Garden Café entrance). Don’t worry\, there’ll still be food trucks outside in the Italian Gardens near The Sovereign.\n\n\n\nWeston Brass Band: Catch Weston Brass performing festive tunes in the Sovereign Centre.\n\n\n\nPauline Quirke Academy: The talented performers will take the stage inside the Winter Gardens to bring you Christmas cheer.\n\n\n\nFather Christmas: He’ll be out and about all day to spread festive joy – no grotto\, so keep an eye out for him!\n\n\n\nExtra Festive Perks:\nFree Bus Travel: Available on selected routes to make it easy to join in the fun.\nFree Parking: From 3:00 pm at the Sovereign Centre.\nWeston Town Council Survey: Visit us to share your thoughts on our new lights as part of the “Your Town\, Your Voice” winter survey.\n\n\n\nThank you for bearing with us as we adjust to the weather. The tree’s branches are meticulously crafted with attention to detail\, creating a lifelike look that rivals the beauty of its natural counterpart.The Christmas lights switch-on ceremony is set for Saturday\, 23rd November 2024 at 5:00 pm\, marking the start of the festive season in Weston-super-Mare. The day will be filled with festive cheer\, including performances of Christmas songs\, and appearances by Father Christmas\, Weston Brass. The much-loved EAT Festival will also take place throughout the day\, offering visitors an array of delicious local food and drink options.From our Christmas lights survey we found a Golden light was preferred with a Victorian elegant theme.
