SUMMARY:Facebook live Q&A with fashion awareness environmental campaigner Becky Barnes
DESCRIPTION:Becky Barnes is on a mission to slow down the fashion industry and encourage others to rethink their relationship with their wardrobe. \nShe says: ‘There is so much we can all do yet few of us are actually doing it. I’d love people to be as concerned about their clothes as they are about plastic and believe we all have the ability to make a positive change’. \nBecky will be sharing her tips to look great in clothes without it ‘costing the earth’. \nBecky will discuss this by giving you useful tips and answering your questions on a Facebook live event hosted by Weston-super-Mare Town Council’s Facebook page. August 4th 6.00pm. Please send your questions in advance to the discussion for this event. https://www.facebook.com/WsMTC

SUMMARY:Facebook live Q&A with family environmental campaigner Jen Gale
DESCRIPTION:Jen Gale and is a passionate believer in the power that we all have\, to change the world. \nShe says – ‘I don’t know about you\, but for me\, sometimes the world right now can feel like a pretty scary place. Climate change is well and truly here and the effects are being felt all around the globe. As one person\, one family\, it can feel like we are powerless to change it. But we can’. \nJen is an ordinary\, exhausted mum of two whose life changed when she dragged and cajoled the family into a year buying nothing new. That year changed not only what she buys\, but also how she sees her place in the world. Jen recognised the power that we all have as individuals to make a difference to the things we care about\, simply through getting informed about the impact of our daily choices and figuring out easy swaps and changes. The family are still (just about) talking to her. Jen writes and podcasts about all things Sustainable(ish). Jen is the author of The Sustainable(ish) Living Guide (out now!) and The Sustainable(ish) Guide to Green Parenting\, which is out in March 2021. www.asustainablelife.co.uk \nJen will discuss this by giving you useful tips for families and answering your questions on a Facebook live event hosted by Weston-super-Mare Town Council’s Facebook page. August 26th 6.00pm. Please send your questions in advance to the discussion for this event. https://www.facebook.com/WsMTC
