Grove Park Remembrance Sunday

Weston Town Council is responsible for the Service for Remembrance Sunday at the War Memorial Grove Park Weston-super-Mare. Remembering People from Weston-super-Mare who fell in the Great War.

Remembrance Sunday always falls on the second weekend of November. This is because Armistice Day, which marks the end of the First World War in 1918, is on November 11. Traditionally a one- or two-minute silence is held at 11am on Armistice Day, recognising the exact time that the fighting ceased.
