Weston Museum
Weston Museum was once at risk of closure until Weston-super-Mare Town Council stepped in to secure its future for the community. Today, volunteers play a vital role in helping preserve and maintain this important local museum.
People volunteer with us for many reasons — from a passion for local history and heritage, to gaining valuable experience and skills, or simply meeting new people and staying socially connected. Whatever your reason, joining our volunteer team is a rewarding way to support your community museum while achieving personal goals.
Old Town Quarry
Volunteering at the Old Town Quarry is a great opportunity for anyone who enjoys the outdoors, wildlife, and meeting new people. Whether supporting the gift shop or joining the Meet and Greet team, volunteers help create a welcoming experience for visitors while sharing information about the quarry and its natural environment.

Fridge of Free Stuff

Weston-super-Mare Town Council Office

‘Love The Outdoors’ Initiative
Whether you have been a keen gardener for many years, or have never touched a trowel in your life there is no disputing the fact that being outdoors can have fantastic effects on our wellbeing and physical fitness.
‘Love the Outdoors’ is an initiative set up to encourage volunteers to enhance their wellbeing, prevent social isolation and make a difference in their community by getting involved with our outdoor spaces.


Voluntary Action North Somerset
Voluntary Action North Somerset works alongside communities and voluntary organisations to create positive change across North Somerset. By strengthening local organisations, supporting volunteering and building connections between communities, businesses and public services, they help ensure better outcomes for everyone.
Voluntary Action’s mission is to represent, empower and develop the Voluntary Sector in North Somerset and to be at the forefront of positive social change and development.
Corporate Volunteering (employee volunteering)
Corporate volunteering, also known as employee volunteering, gives teams the opportunity to work together outside of their usual routine while supporting worthwhile local causes. Volunteer Days can help strengthen teamwork, communication and workplace morale.
