Weston-super-Mare Town Council is excited to share upcoming enhancements to our play areas! In our continuous effort to ensure safe, fun, and engaging environments for our children and families, we’ve scheduled maintenance and improvement works across several play areas.
Starting with: Water Park Revitalisation Project
Project Duration: 5th February – 11th March 2024
Initial Preparations: Starting 5th February, we’re organising materials and meeting with suppliers to ensure everything is ready for a smooth project start.
Safety First: From 12th February, we’ll be erecting fencing around the fort area to ensure the safety of all visitors and workers. This phase is expected to last until the 16th February. The Water Park play area may be closed during 12th February whilst works commences.
Ground Works: Commencing on 19th February, our team will begin the ground works which include levelling the existing area and preparing it for new installations. This phase will be completed by the 23rd February.
Final Touches: Starting 26th February, we’ll install rubber matting and secure it into the newly prepared terrain, with completion aimed for the 8th March.
During this time, we kindly ask for your patience and support as certain areas may be temporarily inaccessible. These works are essential to enhancing the safety and enjoyment of our play areas for everyone.
We’re committed to keeping you informed every step of the way on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/WaterAdventurePlayPark and will provide updates on the progress of these works.
Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated as we work towards creating better and safer play spaces for our community.
