Weston Town Council and the Business Improvement District (BID) organise the Christmas tree and official lights switch-on event annually.

This year the Town Mayor, Cllr Sonia Russe, is pleased to announce she will be joined by local singer sensation Phoebe Richards for a switch-on ceremony and lantern parade 26th November 5pm Italian Gardens end of the High street.

The Christmas Lights Switch-On is always one of the highlights of the year and with last year’s event being cancelled due to the bad weather and the year before due to the pandemic, this year we will be offering free mince pies and enjoying carols around the Christmas tree accompanied by Weston Brass.

To coincide with the lights switch-on, The Stable will be holding an indoor Artisan Christmas Market with lots of wonderful local producers within their buildings on Wadham Street, from 5pm to 8pm on the 26th November.

Looking ahead for Christmas, Blakehay theatre will be showing Elf Jr the Musical Sunday 27th November at 12.30pm & 4.30pm Tickets £17.00. And a Christmas Charity Concert Saturday 10th December at 7.30pm Tickets £12.00. The popular EAT festival is 11th December at the Winter Gardens.

It’s starting to feel a lot like Christmas in Weston.
