The Royal British Legion (RBL) RAF Association and the Mayor are laying wreaths at the War Memorial in Grove Park at 11.00 am this Saturday for VJ75. The short service will be conducted by the RBL Chaplain Revd Ian Girling. We are saddened that due to COVID this can’t be a public occasion.

We will, however, some photos and a video onto the Town Council website and social media after the event. There will be a VJ75 flypast of four small vintage planes at 11.15 along the seafront.

We would encourage you to lay personal tributes at the War Memorial adhering to government regulations on socially distancing, but ask you to please avoid 10:30 to 11:30 on the morning of 15th August so that we can keep within regulations and personal safety. Thank you.
