The town council has created a production company called ‘Ever Forward’ from the motto on the crest of the town. The company is made up of Blakehay Theatre, Weston Museum and the Water Park all of which are Town Council assets. During this time of COVID when many events have been cancelled the Town Council wanted to find a way for us to have events to look forward and enjoy whilst still keep safe.

This is the first of several upcoming events at the quarry including a ‘Christmas at the Quarry’ event and a show for history week in the new year.

The Town Clerk Malcolm Nicholson says ‘The quarry is such a fantastic asset for outside events and a perfect place for a spooky Halloween event. We are delighted to be given the opportunity and hope people will come and enjoy the event.’

The site is owned by North Somerset Council and managed by Weston-super-Mare Civic Society. The directors of the Civic Society have given Weston-super-Mare Town Council permission to run events on their site. The site has had many similar events on their site in the past and Weston Town Council and its assets are excited to be able to bring outdoor events through this collaboration at this time of COVID.
