We are pleased to provide an update on the upcoming enhancements to our local parks and play areas.
Timescales from contractors:
07th October – Millenium Green
14th October – Grove Park
21st October – Clarence Park
28th October – Ellenborough Park
Grove Park
- The Grounds Team has removed the old multi-play structure.
- Installation of a small slide, a new spinning disc, a new rocker, and a new spinning dish.
Ellenborough Play Area
- Resetting the swing and replacing the anti-wrap bearings on the Kompan swing.
- Replacing the bearings on the spinning pole.
- Supplying and fitting a replacement net on the multi-play structure.
Clarence Park
- Removal and disposal of the existing zigzag twister.
- Installation of a new Spica spinner.
- Replacement of seats on the seesaw.
- Installation of a new rope bridge for the two-tower multi-play structure.
- Replacement of the bottom rope on the activity trail.
- Removal and disposal of the existing caterpillar springer and installation of a new Crazy Hen springer.
- Replacement of the existing flat swing with a spider basket swing.
Millennium Green
- The Grounds Team has cleared the shrubbery and removed the unsafe multi-play structure.
- Contractors will supply and install two goalposts on the green.
Jubilee Park
- Benches and tables have been repainted by the team.
Maltlands
- Equipment repainted and steps replaced on the slides.
- Removal of the toddler multi-play structure.
- Grass carpet removed, re-turfed, and rubber safety matting installed.
- Awaiting play strategy for further guidance.
Broadway Toddler Park
- Installation of a new skateboard rocker.
- Benches and equipment repainted where necessary.
