It’s #GreatBigGreenWeek and we’re thrilled to be able to announce that Weston Chamber has received grant funding from the Quartet Community Foundation Megawatt Community Energy Fund to host a series of six FREE Curry & Conversation workshops over the next few months to raise awareness of climate change and learn how we can all start to take small steps now to make a difference for the future of the next generations.
Our Chamber as an organisation will be learning how to measure and reduce our own carbon emissions and you can too, so please join us on this important journey.
These lunchtime sessions will be led by Naseem Talukdar of local charity Plastic Pollution Awareness & Actions Projects and a free curry lunch will be provided by our member Chutneys Takeaway.
We will be covering plastic pollution, recycling, food waste, nature-based solutions, fast fashion, the circular economy, energy, transport and carbon footprints amongst other things.
Open to all residents and businesses of North Somerset, there are 40 free spaces available at each workshop and booking is essential. For full details and how to register please visit www.cleanercoastlines.org.uk/events or telephone Debbie on 07974 190660.
Look forward to seeing you there! 🌍♻️🌳🌱
