Three steps to look after Bees in your garden.

1. Buy/make a bee hotel – this will provide nesting habitat for bees such as mason bees and leafcutter bees that nest in pre-existing cavities.

2. Plant bee-friendly plants to provide pollen and nectar. Where possible, ensure these are organic and native species. ‘Plants for Pollinators’ is a good book if you want to know more about good plants @BumblebeeTrust have excellent online resources too.

3. Don’t mow your lawn as much to provide flowers and areas of long grass that are important nesting locations for some bumblebees.
